Claire's Dog, the days that follow Day Two

Yuki has settled in. I am able to let her out frequently because I am mostly home during the day as I have no life. Uh...hem. Anyway, there has been little incident of pee on the floor and so far none on the carpet (that I am aware).

Yuki follows me around and attempts to jump in my lap when I am sitting on the sofa. And I would let her, but I like my space. She watched WALL-E with us Saturday night and lounged between Kara and Vic on the big sofa. She spins in circles for dog treats. She has been in the back yard with my dogs a bit but she was a bit too wimpy to stay outside Saturday with us all while we did yard work. The leaf blower scares her. Which I would think my dogs would not like it either, but I cannot even get them to move out of the way of blowing leaves. They just stand there.

Kara said that she loves Yuki. Yuki has yet to respond with equal sentiment.

Yuki's favorite activities: sleeping, eating and sleeping some more.

She does get rather feisty when I return home after being gone a bit. So I play growl at her--you know, like dogs do when they play? When I was little, my whole world centered around my dog and I spent countless hours (maybe not that much) learning the various ways dogs communicate. I wanted to be able to "speak" to my dog. Beanie was the best dog ever. EVER!!

My neighbors came by looking for their cat. It went missing the day after Yuki arrived. I hope they find her. I do hear some strange noises at night... Maybe something escaped from the Zoo. He, he.

That is about it. Yuki is fine and has already forgotten you. Just joking... She stares out the window, awaiting your return.

Yuki who?
OH, right!
Sorry, the boringness of Berlin has melted my brain to mush, I can't seem to recall ANYTHING what with all the not doing stuff.

That's okay. We tied your headshot to a slab of meat and let Yuki rip through the photo. We whisper to her each night that tall people are evil and can't be trusted. It seems to be working b/c she tried to eat Kara's teacher when I picked the girls up from school. Oh, and Yuki will now require transport in a mini-van.
