I am dog sitting for my friend while she goes overseas. I thought I would help her stay in touch with her dog's doings while she was in Germany.
Today is Yuki's first day with us. Yuki is a Japanese Spitz and she reminds me of a little white fox--in fact, I jokingly tell my two daughters that Yuki is a white fox. They usually reply with "naw uhhh" or "you always say that." Geez, kids. Who ate your funny bone? Maybe it was Yuki?
I am not feeling very well today (cold crap). I find myself home during the day. I resigned from a job of four years to finish my Master's degree. I thought the time off would do me some good, but now I find I am a little on the bored side. I talk to myself. Not in the crazy-old-lady way, but you get what I mean. I started going to the gym regularly to get out of the house and to get in shape, but the last two days of a cold have grounded me at home.
Anyway, the dog. Not much to report, Claire. Although, you are only just now making it to the airport for your departure. When you left, I gave Yuki a treat to sway her to my side. Just kidding. Well, not really, but she is not yet completely trusting of me.
She sniffed around the house and my dogs wined from the garage. I let her out in the front yard to prance around for a minute (your dog prances by the way).
My dogs went really wild. I have never heard such a ruckus ( I love that word). It was weird.
That is really about it. I put down some water. She sniffed around some more. A week will go by quickly. Have fun in Deutschland!
