Well, besides a couple of doggie doodles left on my carpet, everything seems to be fine with Yuki. She stole Spencer's space on the sofa next to me...and he stole it back. The girls like having her around. They are respectful of the fact that Yuki is an older dog--gentle pets. This morning, I let Yuki join us in the van as I drove the girls to school.
Yesterday, Yuki and my dogs properly sniffed each other's butts. They all barked together at the mail delivery jeep (it's a jeep, right?). Yuki follows me around for the most part. She is not so big on climbing the stairs and Spencer thinks she is deaf. And he came up with a voice for Yuki. Yes. This was entertainment for me for the better part of 15 minutes last night. Spencer did pick her up and bring her up the steps last night to sleep in our room...he even got her blanket. Awww. He hates dogs in the house, so this just demonstrates how much he cares for you. Well, actually how much he cares for me who in turn took responsibility for your dog while you are in Germany. But!! I know you would do it for me.
Yep. All has been well. Except. I almost didn't mention this, but Spencer cut his finger last night chopping an onion. A tiny spot of blood fell to the floor. I was not home, but Spencer said Yuki jumped on the blood, licking it furiously. I am sure he was exaggerating, but it's kinda funny. Vic said, "maybe Yuki is a werewolf." Anyway. I thought you might find that funny. Dogs are animals after all.
But all is great today. Enjoy the rest of your adventure!!

I am pretty sure she is, indeed, a deaf werewolf (although tell your kids I think they mean vampire...what kind of goth is Vic going to be if she can't tell the difference between a werewolf and a vampire? Geez, kid, get it right)! I hope she did not leave too many doggie doos around. Peeing is my biggest worry, as it is harder to clean up, generally. And yes, she hates stairs in general and wooden or metal stairs in particular. Her tiny prancing feet (yes, I am well aware of my pretty princess prancing dog, thank you) don't have a lot of traction. You know, like me.
